Encourage Your Child's Vocabulary Development
- Motivate your cutie go out of his or her comfort zone and try new things.
- Play matching games with your child, such as shape sorting and simple puzzles.
- Read books to your child on a regular basis.
- Playing make-believe games like "follow the leader" or "pretend parade" with your child and explaining how things work in simple terms are both great ways to encourage creative play and learning.
- You can assist your child's language development by engaging in conversation with them and expanding their vocabulary. You can respond to your child's "dada" with, "Yes, you're right, that is daddy."
Toddlers are full of boundless energy no matter the temperature outside. Your child will want to burn off energy outside whether it's subzero or sweltering.
It's great for nap time, but it also means she needs extra protection from the elements.
It's important to remember that once your child reaches the toddler stage, her internal thermostat should be functioning properly. For example, if you're warm in a T-shirt, your child shouldn't need anything more than a T-shirt, and vice versa if you're cold in a sweatshirt, you should both bundle up.
